Research

My research interest lies at the intersection of media, communication, and international political economy: specifically, how the media environment interacts with domestic and international political outcomes of various actors, particularly the mass public (e.g., public opinion, voting behavior) and firms (e.g., political donations, advertisements). I use computational text/image analysis, surveys, and experiments to understand how media coverage affects political behaviors of both domestic and international audiences.
